Wicker Steel vs Acacia Wood Sofa
Frame Material
The Natural Expressions loveseat uses a powder-coated steel frame with woven wicker backrests and wood-grain aluminum armrests. This combination offers a rust-resistant structure designed for high load-bearing capacity, supporting 350 pounds per seat. The Devoko sofa relies on a solid acacia wood frame coated with water-based paint to prevent decay. Wood provides a natural aesthetic, while the steel-wicker mix offers weather-resistant durability without the maintenance of bare timber. You choose between the robust, coated metal structure of the Natural Expressions or the solid, painted timber construction of the Devoko unit.
Seating Capacity
The Natural Expressions model is explicitly rated for two persons. It is designed as a standard loveseat with a fixed width that accommodates two adults comfortably. The Devoko sofa is described as a convertible unit that transforms from a couch to a lounge chair or daybed. While it serves two people in its couch configuration, its flexible nature allows for varied lounging positions. If you need a dedicated two-seat arrangement, the Natural Expressions provides a clear capacity rating. The Devoko offers versatility in how two people might use the space, shifting between sitting and reclining modes.
Cushion Thickness
Seat comfort depends heavily on cushion depth. The Natural Expressions loveseat features thick 6-inch seat cushions filled with high-density sponge, paired with an 18.9-inch high back cushion for upper body support. This depth suggests a plush, sinking-in feel. The Devoko sofa uses thinner 2.75-inch cushions secured with ropes. While still soft, these are significantly less deep than the Natural Expressions option. If you prefer substantial padding that supports your muscles during long sits, the Natural Expressions 6-inch cushion is superior. The Devoko offers a firmer, flatter surface due to its thinner profile.
Adjustability
The Devoko sofa stands out with three adjustable backrest positions. You can shift from an upright sitting posture to a leaning angle or a flat daybed configuration. This allows you to read, watch movies, or nap without changing furniture. The Natural Expressions loveseat has a fixed high-back design with no mentioned adjustable components. Its backrest is static, providing consistent support but no flexibility in recline angles. If you want to change your posture throughout the day, the Devoko’s multi-position mechanism is a clear advantage. The Natural Expressions remains in one fixed position.
Weight and Portability
The Natural Expressions loveseat weighs 107 pounds, indicating a heavy, stable structure that stays put in your outdoor space. The Devoko sofa weighs only 50.3 pounds, making it significantly lighter. This lower weight makes the Devoko easier to move, rearrange, or bring inside during severe weather, as suggested by its features. The Natural Expressions is less portable due to its steel frame and heavier build. If you frequently rearrange your patio or need to store furniture quickly, the lighter Devoko is more practical. The heavier Natural Expressions offers more stability but less mobility.
Choose Your Outdoor Sofa By Spec
