Shintenchi 7 Pieces Outdoor Patio Alternatives: 6 Similar Picks Compared

How each alternative compares

Aoxun 7-Piece Wicker Conversation Sectional Set

The Aoxun 7-Piece Wicker Conversation Sectional Set prioritizes deep comfort with 4-inch thick foam cushions. This is a notable upgrade over the Shintenchi set, which uses breathable seat cushions without specified thickness. The Aoxun model features splash-proof covers, offering better protection against rain than the Shintenchi cushions, which require removal on rainy days to protect the inner sponge. However, the Aoxun set is heavier at 90.4 pounds compared to the 80-pound Shintenchi unit. It also has a square footprint with 78.7-inch dimensions, whereas the Shintenchi offers a longer 109-inch width. You should choose this Aoxun alternative if you value plush seating and water-resistant covers over easy rinsing and a wider, more flexible layout.

LAWNOOK 7-Piece Modular Wicker Sectional Set

The LAWNOOK 7-Piece Modular Wicker Sectional Set is designed for smaller patios and balconies. Unlike the Shintenchi set, which is a single 109-inch unit, the LAWNOOK option offers modular flexibility, allowing you to rearrange pieces to fit various spaces. It includes a steel frame for durability, similar to the Shintenchi, but uses a combination of wicker and rattan materials. The color option of brown rattan with peacock blue cushions provides a distinct aesthetic compared to the Shintenchi khaki finish. This set lacks the specific coffee table included in the Shintenchi 7-piece configuration. You should pick this alternative if you need adaptable seating for a compact area and prefer modular arrangements over a fixed, wide sectional layout.

LAFWELL 8-Piece Wicker Sectional Set with Fire Pit

The LAFWELL 8-Piece Wicker Sectional Set with Fire Pit introduces a central fire pit table, a feature absent in the Shintenchi coffee table setup. This set is significantly heavier at 150 pounds and larger, making it suitable for spacious backyards rather than compact balconies. The inclusion of a fire pit adds a functional centerpiece for warmth and ambiance, which the Shintenchi set does not provide. Both sets use wicker frames and khaki colors, but the LAFWELL model is built for robust heat and extended seating capacity. You should choose this premium option if you want a focal point for outdoor gatherings and have the space for a larger, heavier furniture arrangement that includes heating capabilities.

SunloungeCo 3-Piece Wicker Patio Set

The SunloungeCo 3-Piece Wicker Patio Set is a compact solution for small balconies, offering 2-person seating. It is much smaller than the Shintenchi 7-piece set, with dimensions of 29.5 inches in width and 24 inches in length. While it includes cushions and a coffee table like the Shintenchi, it lacks the capacity for larger groups. The elevated design makes it suitable for tight spaces where the larger Shintenchi sectional would not fit. You should select this alternative if you have limited patio area and only need seating for two people. It sacrifices the extensive seating capacity and flexible configuration options of the Shintenchi set for a more space-efficient footprint.

Aoxun 7-Piece Wicker Sectional Sofa Set

The Aoxun 7-Piece Wicker Sectional Sofa Set offers superior comfort with wide seating and 4-inch cushions. This model is lighter at 64 pounds compared to the 80-pound Shintenchi set, making it easier to move. It features a modular design suitable for garden or poolside placement, similar to the Shintenchi. The color option of black and navy blue provides a different visual style than the Shintenchi khaki. However, the individual dimensions of 40 inches suggest a more segmented layout compared to the continuous 109-inch width of the Shintenchi. You should pick this alternative if you prefer modular pieces and plush cushions over a single, wider sectional unit with a dedicated coffee table.

Aoxun 7-Piece Steel & Wicker Sectional Set

The Aoxun 7-Piece Steel & Wicker Sectional Set is the heaviest option at 200 pounds, offering stable, modular seating. It features a grey wicker finish, distinct from the Shintenchi khaki color. The set includes secure cushioning and is designed for weather-resistant outdoor use. Unlike the Shintenchi set, which emphasizes flexible configuration and washable covers, this Aoxun model focuses on a fixed, large conversation area. The dimensions suggest a more compact individual piece design compared to the Shintenchi's wide layout. You should choose this alternative if you prioritize durability and a grey aesthetic over the lighter weight and adaptable seating arrangements of the Shintenchi set.
