6 Best Alternatives to the Shintenchi 6 Piece Patio Dining (2026)

How these alternatives compare to Shintenchi

Vongrasig 6-Piece Metal Folding Dining Set

The Vongrasig 6-Piece Metal Folding Dining Set swaps the included umbrella for a sturdier, rust-resistant metal frame. At 61 pounds, it is heavier than the 50-pound Shintenchi, suggesting more durability but less portability. Both sets feature foldable chairs and a glass tabletop, but Vongrasig omits the shade component entirely. You gain a dedicated dining surface without the bulk of an umbrella mechanism. This makes it a better choice if you already have shade structures or prefer a minimalist aesthetic. The black finish matches the original, ensuring visual consistency on your patio. However, you lose the integrated sun protection that defines the Shintenchi experience. Choose this if you prioritize frame stability over all-in-one convenience.

Vongrasig 4-Piece Textilene Loveseat Conversation Set

The Vongrasig 4-Piece Textilene Loveseat Conversation Set shifts focus from dining to lounging. It replaces four individual folding chairs with a loveseat and side chairs, offering a different seating dynamic. The textilene material provides breathability, which is advantageous in hot climates compared to solid surfaces. At 62.3 pounds, it is slightly heavier than the Shintenchi dining set. This set lacks a dining table, so it is not suitable for formal meals. Instead, it serves compact balconies or small patios where casual conversation is the goal. The taupe color offers a neutral alternative to the original black. You trade the utility of eating outdoors for the comfort of extended lounging sessions. Pick this if your primary need is relaxation rather than dining.

PAIQIAN 4-Piece Wicker Loveseat Set

The PAIQIAN 4-Piece Wicker Loveseat Set introduces a wicker and rattan frame, differing significantly from the metal construction of the Shintenchi. It includes cushions, providing soft seating that contrasts with the hard surfaces of the original dining chairs. The set is designed for conversation rather than dining, lacking a high table suitable for meals. At 58 pounds, it is comparable in weight to the Shintenchi but occupies a different footprint. The black wicker offers a modern aesthetic that fits well on small balconies or poolside areas. You give up the foldable chair feature and the umbrella hole in favor of plush comfort. This option is ideal for those who want a cozy lounging area instead of a functional dining space. It suits buyers prioritizing texture and comfort over structural versatility.

Shintenchi 4-Piece Wicker Conversation Set

The Shintenchi 4-Piece Wicker Conversation Set stays within the same brand but changes the set type from dining to conversation. It features a wicker and rattan frame with a coffee table, rather than a dining table. The weight remains at 50 pounds, matching the original dining set exactly. This model is designed for small balconies or deck lounging, offering a compact solution for casual use. You lose the dining functionality and the umbrella compatibility found in the 6-piece dining variant. The black rattan finish provides a cohesive look if you already own other Shintenchi wicker pieces. This set is best for those who prefer low tables and soft seating over upright dining chairs. It is a logical alternative if you want the brand quality but need a different furniture configuration for relaxation.

Goplus 4-Piece Black Rattan Set

The Goplus 4-Piece Black Rattan Set offers a modular conversation layout with cushions and a glass tabletop. Like the PAIQIAN set, it prioritizes lounging over dining, using wicker and rattan materials instead of metal. The specific dimensions are not listed, but the one-size designation suggests a standardized footprint. It includes tempered glass, similar to the Shintenchi dining set, but for a lower coffee table height. You sacrifice the foldable chair feature and the integrated umbrella for a more relaxed seating arrangement. This set is suitable for small patio conversation areas where meals are not the primary activity. The black color maintains a consistent visual theme with the original product. Choose this alternative if you value modular flexibility and cushioned comfort over the structured utility of a dining set.

Aiho 5-Piece Modular Rattan Patio Set

The Aiho 5-Piece Modular Rattan Patio Set is significantly larger and heavier than the Shintenchi dining set. Weighing 108 pounds, it is more than double the weight of the 50-pound original. The dimensions of 80 by 52 inches indicate a much larger footprint, making it unsuitable for tight spaces. This set features rattan frames and cushions, focusing on flexible outdoor seating layouts. It includes a glass tabletop, but the table is likely lower and part of a modular arrangement. You give up the compact, foldable nature of the Shintenchi chairs for a more permanent, substantial structure. This option is ideal for buyers with ample patio space who want versatile seating configurations. It is not a direct alternative for small patios but serves those needing a larger, more durable lounging setup.
