Who it fits
Good fit for
This daybed suits you if you value flexible seating arrangements. The sectional build lets you combine sections for a long lounging space or separate them for smaller setups. It fits well on patios, decks, or near pools. The retractable canopy is ideal for those who want sun protection without losing the option for open-air relaxation. The adjustable feet help ensure stability on uneven surfaces, making it a practical choice for various outdoor environments where you need adaptable furniture.
Who should skip it
Look elsewhere if you need a fixed, non-retractable shade structure. This unit relies on a canopy that moves, which may not suit those who prefer permanent overhead coverage. It also lacks a built-in table or storage, so you must provide your own surfaces for drinks or items. If you want a single, unified piece without sectional joints, this modular design may feel too fragmented. Additionally, the 87-pound weight means it is not ultra-lightweight, so consider if you need frequent mobility.
Verdict: This sectional daybed offers flexible lounging with a retractable canopy and durable PE rattan construction. It is a practical choice for adaptable outdoor spaces.
Key specs explained for this daybed
Frame Material: Metal, PE rattan
This combination pairs a sturdy metal structure with hand-woven polyethylene rattan. The metal provides the core stability needed for a large piece, while the PE rattan offers sun protection and resists fading. You get a frame that balances strength with weather resistance, making it suitable for patios where durability matters more than pure aesthetics.
Size: 75.5" x 69.5" x 61.5"
These overall dimensions define the footprint and height of the assembled daybed. The length and width determine how much floor space you need on your patio or deck. The height affects how easily you can sit down or stand up. Measure your area carefully to ensure this sectional fits without blocking walkways or doorways.
Weight: 87 pounds
This total weight indicates the heft of the assembled unit. At 87 pounds, it is substantial enough to resist tipping in light winds but heavy enough to require two people for moving. You will need a clear path for delivery and assembly. This weight suggests a stable build that will not shift easily during use.
Cushion Closure: Zippered
The cushions feature zippered covers, allowing you to remove them for cleaning or replacement. This design simplifies maintenance, as you can wash the covers separately from the sponge padding. If a cover gets stained, you can clean it without soaking the entire cushion. This feature extends the life of the soft seating components significantly.
Set Type: Daybed
This classification identifies the piece as a daybed rather than a standard sofa. Daybeds are designed for reclining and lounging rather than upright sitting. You can stretch out fully, making it ideal for naps or reading. This type of furniture suits buyers looking for a dedicated relaxation spot that prioritizes comfort and horizontal space over social seating.
Design and build overview
According to the listing, this Tangkula daybed features a sectional layout. You can combine the pieces for longer lounging or separate them for smaller spaces. The frame uses a sturdy metal structure wrapped in hand-woven PE rattan. This material choice provides sun protection and resists fading. The rattan surface is designed to endure outdoor conditions while maintaining its appearance over time.
The overall dimensions are 75.5 inches in length, 69.5 inches in width, and 61.5 inches in height. The unit weighs 87 pounds. Adjustable foot pads help keep the structure balanced on uneven ground. Each section supports up to 800 lbs. This weight capacity suggests the frame is built for robust use, accommodating multiple users without compromising stability.
The finish is an off-white color. This neutral tone allows the furniture to blend with various patio or deck settings. The PE rattan weave offers a textured look that complements the metal frame. You get a cohesive design that prioritizes both durability and aesthetic flexibility. The retractable canopy adds functional shade, while the sectional nature lets you adapt the setup to your specific outdoor area. This combination of materials and layout supports versatile use in gardens or by the pool.
Setup and everyday use details
This sectional daybed arrives as multiple pieces that you assemble into a round configuration. The frame relies on a sturdy metal structure wrapped in hand-woven PE rattan. You place adjustable foot pads under each bench to keep the unit balanced on uneven ground. This feature helps ensure stability whether you set it on a flat patio or a slightly sloped deck. The total weight is 87 pounds, which suggests you will need assistance moving the components during setup. Once assembled, you can arrange the sections to create a longer lounging space or separate them for smaller gatherings. The retractable canopy uses heavy-duty gas struts. These struts allow you to raise or lower the shade smoothly. You can adjust the canopy to block direct sunlight or open it for fresh air. The cushions are sponge-padded and detachable. They feature zippered covers that you can remove for washing. This closure type means you can clean stains without replacing the entire cushion. The overall dimensions are 75.5 inches long, 69.5 inches wide, and 61.5 inches high. Each bench supports up to 800 pounds. This capacity indicates the structure is built for heavy, daily use. The off-white rattan finish requires simple maintenance. You wipe the frame and wash the covers as needed. The design fits patios, decks, and garden areas. You get a flexible seating option that adapts to your space. The gas struts ensure the canopy stays in place when adjusted. The zippered covers allow for easy care. This setup process is straightforward if you follow the manufacturer instructions. The result is a durable piece for outdoor relaxation.
Before you buy this daybed
This Tangkula round patio daybed is a substantial piece. At 87 pounds, it requires careful placement. You should verify that your patio surface can support the weight. The adjustable foot pads help on uneven ground, but a level base is still best. The set includes sponge-padded cushions with zippered covers. You will need to remove these covers for washing. Ensure you have space for this maintenance routine. The retractable canopy adds shade, but check your local weather conditions. Strong winds may require you to retract the canopy fully. This sectional design fits well in larger outdoor areas. If you have a small balcony, the 75.5-inch length might be too large. Compare this unit’s footprint with other options in Patio Furniture Sets. You might prefer a simpler frame if you want less assembly. This daybed suits those who want built-in shade and flexible seating. It is a statement piece that demands a dedicated lounging zone.
Check before you buy
- Verify your patio can support the 87-pound weight.
