Looking Beyond the Tangkula 3 Piece Outdoor Bar? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How each alternative compares

Shintenchi 4-Piece PE Rattan Sectional Set

The Shintenchi 4-Piece PE Rattan Sectional Set shifts from high-top bar seating to low-profile lounging. It includes a coffee table and cushions, making it better for casual relaxation than the Tangkula’s upright bar chairs. The frame uses rattan, similar to the original, but the total weight is lighter at 46 pounds. You gain more seating pieces for small patios, but you lose the bar-height functionality. This set suits those who prefer ground-level comfort over elevated dining. It is ideal for balconies where space is tight and you want a cohesive sectional look rather than separate bar stools.

Shintenchi 4-Piece Wicker Patio Conversation Set

This Shintenchi 4-Piece Wicker Conversation Set offers a steel frame with wicker accents, differing from the Tangkula’s metal frame with rattan weave. It is a conversation set with a coffee table and loveseat, designed for casual lounging rather than bar-height dining. The weight is 50 pounds, slightly heavier than the Tangkula. You trade the tempered glass table for a standard coffee table. This option is better for buyers who want easy maintenance and classic style. It fits porches and yards where you prioritize relaxed seating over the specific ergonomics of bar chairs. The khaki color provides a neutral look for various outdoor decors.

Shintenchi 3-Piece PE Rattan Patio Conversation Set

The Shintenchi 3-Piece PE Rattan Patio Conversation Set is a compact option for small balconies. It features rattan and wicker materials with cushions, focusing on low seating. The height is 31.5 inches, significantly lower than the Tangkula’s 46-inch bar stools. At 64.7 pounds, it is heavier than the original set. You give up the bar table and high chairs for a more intimate conversation area. This set is ideal for spaces where bar-height furniture is too large. It offers a cozy seating arrangement with a coffee table, suitable for gardens and porches where you prefer relaxed, ground-level interaction over elevated dining experiences.

VONZOY 5-Piece Aluminum Patio Set

The VONZOY 5-Piece Aluminum Patio Set uses aluminum frames, offering rust-resistant durability compared to the Tangkula’s metal and rattan construction. It is a modular conversation and sectional set with seven seats, providing more capacity than the three-piece bar set. The weight is 86 pounds, making it much heavier and less portable. You gain flexible seating arrangements and cushions but lose the bar-height functionality. This set is best for buyers who prioritize long-term durability and modular design. It suits decks, porches, and yards where you need sturdy, weather-resistant furniture that can accommodate larger groups without the constraints of fixed bar stools.

Qsoer 3-Piece Blue Wicker Conversation Set

The Qsoer 3-Piece Blue Wicker Conversation Set focuses on backyard durability with high weight capacity. It features swivel functionality, which the Tangkula stools do not mention. The set includes rattan and wicker materials, similar to the original, but is designed for conversation rather than bar dining. You trade the glass-topped bar table for a standard seating arrangement. This option is ideal for backyards where you prioritize swivel comfort and easy maintenance. It fits spaces where you want sturdy support and a classic wicker look. The blue color adds a distinct visual element, making it a good choice for those seeking a specific aesthetic for their outdoor lounging area.

VINGLI 7-Piece Cast Aluminum Dining Set

The VINGLI 7-Piece Cast Aluminum Dining Set is a heavy-duty dining option with a rectangular table, differing significantly from the Tangkula’s round bar table. It uses cast aluminum, offering superior rust resistance compared to the metal frame. The weight is 127 pounds, making it a permanent fixture rather than a portable set. You gain seating for six people and an umbrella hole, but lose the compact bar-height design. This set is ideal for families needing durable, weather-resistant dining furniture. It suits permanent garden or porch setups where weight is not a barrier. The bronze finish and rectangular shape provide a traditional dining experience for larger gatherings.
