In this shintenchi 7 pieces outdoor patio review, we look at a sectional conversation set designed for flexible backyard arrangements. The set includes seven pieces, featuring a durable steel frame wrapped in synthetic resin wicker. Its dimensions measure 109 inches wide by 77 inches long, with a seat height of 24 inches. The khaki-colored cushions are machine washable, though the inner sponge requires removal during rain. This configuration offers multiple layout options to fit various spaces.
What stands out
- Seven-piece configuration allows for flexible sectional arrangements in yards or poolside areas.
- Steel frame supports pe rattan wicker for a lightweight yet all-weather resistant structure.
- Machine washable cushion covers simplify maintenance, with a quick rinse for fade resistance.
- Includes a coffee table to complete the conversation set layout.
- Estimated assembly time is 60 to 90 minutes for straightforward construction.
Who it fits
Good fit for
This set suits homeowners with medium-sized patios or gardens who value adaptable seating. The 109-inch width fits well in spaces where you want a social layout without dominating the area. You will appreciate the washable covers if you live in a dusty or pet-friendly environment. The steel and wicker construction handles outdoor elements well, provided you store the cushions when rain is forecast. It is ideal for those who enjoy rearranging their furniture to suit different gatherings.
Who should skip it
Buyers seeking a permanent, heavy-duty installation should look elsewhere. The cushions contain non-waterproof sponge, requiring you to remove and store them during wet weather. If you prefer low-maintenance seating that stays out in the rain, this is not the right choice. Additionally, the 80-pound weight and 60-90 minute assembly time mean you will need to invest effort in setup. Those wanting a single-box delivery may find the multi-box shipping inconvenient.
Verdict: The Shintenchi 7-Piece Wicker Sectional Set offers a practical, flexible seating solution for medium outdoor spaces. Its washable cushions and modular design make it a solid choice for adaptable backyard living.
Key specs for this set
7-piece set
This count includes the sectional modules, cushions, and the coffee table. You get a complete conversation area in one purchase. This configuration works well for medium patios where you need seating for several guests without taking up too much space. Check if the pieces fit your layout before ordering.
Steel frame
The structural core is made of steel, which provides strong support for the wicker and cushions. Steel frames are generally heavier and more rigid than aluminum or wood alternatives. This means the set will stay in place during wind but may require two people to move it around your backyard.
Wicker
The outer layer is synthetic resin wicker, often called PE rattan. This material resists UV damage and moisture better than natural fibers. It offers a textured look that blends with garden settings. You should still bring cushions inside during heavy rain to protect the inner foam, as the wicker only protects the frame.
Coffee table
The set includes a central table for placing drinks, books, or decor. This piece anchors the sectional arrangement and provides a flat surface for everyday use. Verify the table dimensions against your existing outdoor accessories to ensure it fits comfortably within the seating circle without blocking movement around the sofa modules.
Design and Build Quality
According to the listing, this set uses a steel frame wrapped in synthetic resin wicker. This material choice offers all-weather resistance while keeping the unit lightweight. The wicker provides a sleek finish that resists fading, which helps maintain its appearance over time. You can rinse the cushions for easy cleaning, but you must remove them during rain because the inner sponge is not waterproof. The cushion covers zip off for machine washing, allowing you to keep the set looking fresh with minimal effort.
The dimensions are 109 inches wide by 77 inches long, with a height of 24 inches. The total weight is 80 pounds, making the pieces manageable for rearrangement. This configuration allows for flexible combinations based on your space and preference. You can arrange the sectional modules in various ways to fit different backyard layouts or poolside areas. The set includes a coffee table, completing the conversation area.
Assembly takes an estimated 60 to 90 minutes. The unit ships in multiple boxes, which may arrive separately. This modular design means you can adapt the layout to your specific geography. The khaki color option blends well with natural outdoor settings. If you find any damage during transit, the listing suggests contacting the seller for immediate help. This build supports both casual lounging and structured seating arrangements.
Setup and Everyday Use Guide
You can assemble this sectional set in roughly 60 to 90 minutes. The listing notes that the unit ships in multiple boxes, which may arrive separately. You should inspect all packages for transit damage immediately upon receipt and contact the seller if you find any issues. The design allows for flexible placement, meaning you can arrange the modules to fit your specific backyard or poolside layout. This adaptability helps you maximize your available space.
For daily maintenance, the cushions offer straightforward care. The covers are machine washable and zip off easily for cleaning. You can also rinse the fade-resistant fabric to remove dirt. However, the inner sponge is not waterproof. You must remove the cushions during rainy days to prevent moisture damage. This step is essential for keeping the set in good condition.
The steel frame and synthetic resin wicker provide a durable structure that is also lightweight. This combination makes the furniture easy to move if you wish to change your configuration. The included coffee table adds a functional surface for drinks or snacks. The set is recommended for backyard, garden, or poolside use. Its khaki color and sleek finish blend well with various outdoor styles. You get a complete conversation area that balances comfort with practical upkeep. Just remember to protect the cushions from rain to ensure long-term durability.
Space And Care Checks
Before you buy this Shintenchi 7-piece set, check your space carefully. The listed dimensions are 109 inches wide and 77 inches long, with a height of 24 inches. Ensure your patio or poolside area can accommodate this footprint plus walking room. The set includes a coffee table, so verify you have no existing table that conflicts with this layout. You must also consider cushion care. The listing states the inner sponge is not waterproof. You need to remove cushions during rain or store them in a dry area to prevent damage. While the covers are machine washable, the foam inside requires protection. This set fits well for medium-sized backyards where flexible configuration matters. If you prefer a fixed layout, this sectional’s modular design offers more options than static sets. Always confirm the Khaki color matches your existing outdoor decor. The steel frame provides stability, but the lightweight wicker means you should anchor pieces in windy areas. This practical approach ensures longevity and comfort.
