Wicker Versus Acacia Wood Specs
Frame material
The Aoxun set uses a metal frame wrapped in handwoven rattan. This construction is designed to resist rust, cracking, and corrosion. The rattan itself withstands sun, rain, and snow without warping. In contrast, the Flamaker set is built from solid Acacia wood. This natural wood offers a distinct look and feel. The wood surface is polished and varnished for smoothness. While the metal frame provides structural stability for the larger set, the solid wood offers a traditional outdoor aesthetic. You should consider which material texture and maintenance style fits your preference.
Set type
Size and configuration differ significantly between these two options. The Aoxun product is a ten-piece set that includes a fire pit table. It is designed for larger gatherings and provides ample seating for groups. The Flamaker product is a three-piece set consisting only of porch chairs. It is intended for smaller spaces or intimate seating arrangements. The ten-piece set offers more versatility with its included table and multiple seating options. The three-piece set is compact and suitable for balconies or small porches. Your choice depends on the size of your outdoor area.
Features
The Aoxun set includes a 44-inch propane fire pit table certified by CSA. It provides up to 50000 BTU of heat for outdoor warmth. The chairs feature smooth 360-degree swivel mechanisms and gentle rocking capabilities. Cushions are made of fade-resistant polyester that dries quickly. The Flamaker set focuses on ergonomic design with a 110-degree back angle. The chair seats have spaced gaps for breathability and cooling in hot weather. Cushions are secured with banding ropes and feature zippers for easy cleaning. The Aoxun set offers more active features like swiveling and heating.
Recommended location
Placement options vary based on the design of each set. The Aoxun ten-piece set is built for larger yards or patios that can accommodate a fire pit table and multiple chairs. Its all-weather materials make it suitable for exposure to various elements. The Flamaker set is explicitly recommended for porches and balconies. Its compact three-piece design fits well in smaller, confined outdoor spaces. The natural wood look allows it to blend into indoor and outdoor living scenarios. If you have a small balcony, the Flamaker set is the more appropriate choice.
Seating capacity
Capacity is determined by the number of pieces included in each set. The Aoxun set provides ten pieces, which typically includes multiple chairs and a sofa or loveseat. This allows you to seat several people comfortably for social gatherings. The Flamaker set includes only three chairs. This limits your seating to three people at one time. The Aoxun set is better for hosting friends or family. The Flamaker set is sufficient for solo relaxation or a couple. Consider how many people you usually host outdoors when deciding.
Build weight
Weight indicates the sturdiness and portability of each set. The Aoxun set weighs 339 pounds. This heavy weight suggests a robust metal frame capable of supporting over 400 pounds. It is not designed to be moved frequently. The Flamaker set weighs 50.7 pounds. This lighter weight makes the chairs easier to rearrange or store. The solid wood construction is durable but less massive than the metal wicker frame. If you need to move furniture often, the lighter Flamaker set is more practical. For permanent, stable seating, the heavier Aoxun set offers more rigidity.
Choosing the Right Patio Set for You
Hosts needing large group seating
The Aoxun set includes ten pieces, offering ample seating for larger gatherings. It features a 44-inch fire pit table certified by CSA with a 50,000 BTU heat output. The metal frame supports over 400 lbs, ensuring stability for multiple users during extended outdoor events.
Balcony owners with limited space
The Flamaker set is designed specifically for porches and balconies. Each chair measures just 17 inches wide and 24 inches deep, fitting tight areas easily. The solid acacia wood construction provides a natural look that integrates well into smaller indoor or outdoor living scenarios without taking up much room.
Users wanting easy maintenance
The Aoxun cushions feature detachable, zippered polyester covers that resist fading and water. You can remove them for quick washing or spot cleaning with soap and water. The rattan also resists cracking and warping in sun, rain, and snow, reducing the need for frequent upkeep compared to untreated wood.
Those preferring solid wood durability
The Flamaker chairs are made from whole solid acacia wood, offering better load-bearing capacity than synthetic alternatives. The wood is lightly polished and varnished for a smooth finish. The spaced gaps in the seat and back provide breathability, keeping you cool in hot weather while maintaining structural integrity.
