Who it fits
Good fit for
You should choose this set if you value deep seating for lounging rather than upright dining. The wide armrests are ideal if you frequently place drinks or books on your furniture. The lightweight aluminum frame suits those who move their patio setup seasonally. The wood-look table provides a warm aesthetic without the maintenance of real wood. It fits well on smaller patios or porches where space is limited but comfort is key.
Who should skip it
Skip this option if you need a full dining set with backrests for every seat, as this is a lounge-focused arrangement. You might look elsewhere if you prefer glass tables, as this model uses a wood-look surface. The cushions are not included in the frame price, so factor in that cost. If you require a fire pit table for warmth, this specific listing does not include one. Also, consider other sizes if you have a large group to seat simultaneously.
Verdict: This set offers solid deep-seating comfort and durable aluminum construction for casual outdoor lounging. It is a practical choice for small spaces where versatility and low maintenance matter.
Key specs explained for this set
Frame Material: Aluminum
The full aluminum frame is powder-coated to resist rust and fading. This material is lightweight, allowing you to rearrange chairs on your porch or garden easily. Unlike heavier metals, it stays sturdy while being simple to move. You benefit from a durable structure that withstands weather without requiring constant maintenance or heavy lifting.
Cushion Fabric: Olefin
Olefin fabric is breathable, wear-resistant, and UV-protected. It keeps you cool in summer and resists fading from sun exposure. The covers feature zippers for easy removal and machine washing. This means you can maintain a fresh look without special care. It is a practical choice for high-use outdoor areas where spills or dirt are common.
Cushion Thickness: 5 in
The seat cushions are five inches thick, filled with high-density foam. This depth provides substantial support for long sitting periods. It prevents the feeling of sitting on a hard surface. When shopping, compare this to thinner sets that may cause discomfort. The thickness ensures you sink in comfortably while maintaining proper posture during outdoor gatherings.
Table Type: Coffee table
The set includes a coffee table with a wood-look surface. This design offers the classic aesthetic of wood with superior practicality. The surface is heat-resistant and easy to clean. Unlike glass, it does not shatter from extreme heat. It maintains a temperate feel in both summer and winter, providing a safe and reliable surface for drinks or books.
Aluminum Frame and Cushion Build
The frame is constructed from full aluminum with a powder-coated finish. According to the listing, this coating makes the structure rust-proof and fade-resistant over time. The material choice keeps the set lightweight, which allows you to move the chairs around your garden or porch without difficulty. Despite being light, the metal remains sturdy for daily use. This build quality suggests the set is suitable for patios exposed to varied weather conditions.
The seating layout includes two armchairs and a coffee table. Each chair features a 27.5-inch deep seat and 3.2-inch wide armrests. The wide armrests provide stable support for your forearms and offer a flat surface for placing items like books or drinks. The cushions are wrapped in Olefin fabric, which is breathable and UV-protected. They contain high-resilience PP cotton in the back and high-density foam in the seat. Removable covers with zippers allow for machine washing, helping you maintain a fresh appearance easily.
The accompanying table has a wood-look surface that is heat-resistant and easy to clean. This material stays temperate in summer and winter, avoiding the extreme temperatures of metal or the fragility of glass. The set weighs 21.6 pounds for the listed configuration. Its compact dimensions fit well in smaller outdoor spaces. You can choose from various sizes and colors, including grey and charcoal options, to match your existing decor.
Setup And Everyday Use
The Solaste set arrives as a two-armchair and wood-top table configuration. Assembly is not detailed in the listing, but the lightweight aluminum frame suggests you can move components easily once placed. The chairs weigh 21.6 pounds each, allowing you to rearrange them on your porch or garden without strain. The powder-coated finish ensures the metal resists rust and fading, which means you do not need to worry about immediate corrosion from rain or humidity. Daily use is defined by the 27.5-inch deep seating. This extra depth allows you to sink in and adjust your posture comfortably, unlike standard chairs that may feel restrictive. The 3.2-inch wide armrests provide stable support for your forearms. You can also use these flat surfaces as side platforms for books or drinks. The cushions are filled with high-resilience PP cotton and high-density foam. The Olefin fabric cover is breathable and UV-protected, which helps maintain its appearance over time. You can remove the covers via zippers to machine wash them, keeping the set fresh. The coffee table features a wood-look surface that is heat-resistant and easy to clean. Unlike tempered glass, this material does not risk shattering from extreme heat. It stays temperate in both summer and winter, offering reliable durability for year-round outdoor use. The black color option blends with various patio styles, while other colors like grey and blue are available if you prefer a different look.
Before you buy this set
You should verify that your patio space can accommodate the 43-inch length and 26-inch width of each armchair. The listing includes Olefin cushions, which are UV-protected and breathable, but you may need separate covers for harsh winters. Machine washing the zippers allows for easy upkeep, ensuring the fabric remains fresh. The wood-look tabletop is heat-resistant, but you should still use coasters to maintain its clean appearance. This configuration fits well if you prefer deep seating for lounging. However, if you need more seating capacity, consider the larger variations available, such as those including a loveseat or three-seat sofa. The lightweight aluminum frame makes rearranging easy, so you can adjust the layout as seasons change. Check the color options, including Grey and Blue, to match your existing outdoor decor. This set suits those who prioritize comfort and durability over extensive seating capacity.
