Shintenchi vs Vexwalx Patio Sets
Set type and configuration
The Shintenchi offers a traditional four-piece conversation set. This configuration includes a double chair, two single chairs, and a glass coffee table. You get distinct seating units that can be arranged flexibly on a patio or lawn. The Vexwalx presents a three-seat sectional sofa. This design creates a unified, continuous seating area that encourages social interaction. It is a single, cohesive unit rather than separate pieces. If you prefer movable individual chairs, the Shintenchi layout provides more flexibility. If you want a fixed, lounge-style arrangement, the Vexwalx sectional offers a more modern, connected look.
Frame material and durability
Frame construction is a major differentiator between these two options. The Shintenchi set utilizes a powder-coated steel frame. This material is noted for being resistant to deformation and aging, with the coating helping to reduce erosion from rain. Steel provides a rigid structure. In contrast, the Vexwalx set is built with a rustproof aluminum frame. Aluminum is inherently lighter and does not rust, which is advantageous for long-term outdoor exposure. The Vexwalx frame supports up to 400 lbs per seat, indicating high structural integrity. Steel is durable but can rust if the coating is compromised, whereas aluminum is naturally corrosion-resistant.
Seating comfort and cushions
Comfort levels differ significantly based on the included components. The Shintenchi set features textile fabric seats with a mesh design. This material is breathable, which helps keep you cool in summer heat. However, the product data explicitly states that cushions and throw pillows are not included. You would need to purchase them separately. The Vexwalx set includes high-density 28D foam cushions that are 7.1 inches thick. These cushions are covered in water-repellent, fade-resistant olifen fabric. This means the Vexwalx provides immediate, plush comfort right out of the box, while the Shintenchi relies on the textile mesh for support without added padding.
Coffee table construction
Both sets include a coffee table, but the materials vary. The Shintenchi table is made of glass. Glass tables are easy to wipe clean and offer a sleek, modern appearance. They can show water spots or fingerprints more easily than opaque surfaces. The Vexwalx table features a high-density polystyrene (HDPS) slatted design. This material mimics the look of natural wood but is resistant to rotting, splintering, and UV rays. It is designed to be easy to clean after outdoor use. The HDPS material may offer better durability against weather elements compared to standard glass, which can shatter under impact.
Weight and portability
The weight of the sets affects how easily you can move them. The Shintenchi set weighs 55 pounds. It is lighter than the Vexwalx option. The Shintenchi design includes curved chair backs that allow you to lift the chairs easily. This feature also helps prevent scratching the floor when you reposition the furniture. The Vexwalx set weighs 67.3 pounds. This heavier weight suggests a more substantial, stationary installation. While the Vexwalx is heavier, it is designed for a fixed, luxurious lounging experience. If you plan to move your furniture frequently for cleaning or seasonal changes, the lighter Shintenchi set is more practical.
Which Patio Set Fits Your Needs
Small space users needing light weight
The Shintenchi set weighs only 55 pounds. This light weight makes it easy to move chairs when cleaning or rearranging your space. The compact 4-piece configuration fits well on smaller porches or balconies. You can lift the curved-back chairs effortlessly without strain.
Heavy users prioritizing frame durability
The Vexwalx set uses a rustproof aluminum frame. Each seat supports up to 400 lbs, which is significantly higher than typical steel sets. The coffee table handles 280 lbs safely. This heavy-duty construction ensures long-term stability and resistance to deformation under heavy loads.
Buyers seeking plush, resort-style comfort
Vexwalx includes 7.1-inch thick high-density foam cushions. These provide deep, orthopedic support and a luxurious lounging experience. The water-repellent olifen fabric resists fading and moisture. You get a close-to-ground seating style that feels like a resort, unlike the firmer textile mesh of the Shintenchi.
