Natural Expressions vs Tangkula Patio Sets
Set composition
Natural Expressions offers a four-piece set that includes two chairs, a loveseat, and a table. This configuration provides a larger seating area for groups or couples who want a loveseat option. Tangkula provides a three-piece set with two chairs and a coffee table. This setup is more compact and suitable for smaller balconies or intimate spaces. You get more seating capacity with the Natural Expressions model, which accommodates three people comfortably. The Tangkula set is lighter at 49 pounds compared to Natural Expressions at 120 pounds, making it easier to move around your patio space.
Frame material
Both brands utilize metal frames for durability and weather resistance. Natural Expressions specifies a powder-coated iron frame, which is known for its strength and rigidity. This material choice supports the heavier loveseat and larger dimensions without bending. Tangkula also uses a heavy-duty metal frame but highlights solid acacia wood for the armrests and tabletop. The wood adds a natural aesthetic and warmth to the design. While both are sturdy, the iron frame of Natural Expressions is designed to withstand all weather variations without deformation. Tangkula’s wood elements require different maintenance to prevent weathering compared to the all-metal construction of the other set.
Cushion quality
Cushion thickness and fabric type differ significantly between the two sets. Natural Expressions includes thick four-inch cushions upholstered in water-repellent and UV-protective Olefin fabric. The high-resiliency sponge is sandwiched between cotton layers to maintain shape. These covers are removable and washable via invisible zippers. Tangkula chairs come with cushions filled with soft, elastic sponge, but the thickness is not specified in the data. The covers feature smooth zippers for easy detachment. Olefin fabric is generally more durable for outdoor sun exposure than standard fabrics. The four-inch thickness on the Natural Expressions set offers superior ergonomic comfort for longer sitting sessions.
Table design
The table styles serve different functional needs. Natural Expressions features a tempered glass table top, which is easy to clean with a damp cloth and provides a sleek, modern look. It includes adjustable feet to ensure stability on uneven floors. Tangkula offers a square coffee table with a slatted acacia wood top. This design is stylish and easy to maintain but may require different care to prevent water damage or warping. The glass table on the Natural Expressions set is more resistant to stains and moisture. The wooden table on the Tangkula set adds a natural element but may not be as low-maintenance as the glass option for frequent outdoor use.
Seating comfort
Comfort features vary in design and material. Natural Expressions chairs include anti-scald armrests with a wooden handrail design and Textilene mesh for the back and seating. This mesh allows air circulation, making it comfortable to sit without cushions on hot days. The set also has a loveseat for shared seating. Tangkula chairs feature solid acacia wood armrests and PE rattan weaving. The rattan is fade-resistant and provides a textured, elegant appearance. While both sets offer comfortable seating, the Textilene mesh on the Natural Expressions set provides better ventilation in summer. The Tangkula set relies more on the cushion for comfort, as the rattan itself is firmer.
Choose Your Patio Set Profile
You want a loveseat for two
The Natural Expressions set includes a loveseat, offering more seating capacity for couples or small groups. Its four-piece composition provides a complete conversation area. The metal frame ensures durability, while the 4-inch Olefin cushions add comfort. You get a larger footprint for your outdoor space compared to smaller sets.
You prefer natural wood accents
Tangkula features solid acacia wood armrests and a slatted tabletop. This material choice adds warmth and a natural aesthetic to your patio. The PE rattan weaving provides a textured look. If you like the combination of metal stability with wood grain details, this three-piece set fits your style preference.
You need lighter, compact furniture
At 49 pounds, the Tangkula set is significantly lighter than the Natural Expressions option. This makes it easier to move or rearrange on your patio. The smaller dimensions of the chairs and coffee table suit tighter spaces. You gain flexibility in placement without sacrificing the sturdy metal frame construction.
You want removable, washable cushions
Natural Expressions includes cushions with invisible zippers for easy removal and washing. The Olefin fabric is water-repellent and UV-protective. You can maintain the cushions with simple cleaning. The 4-inch thickness offers ergonomic support. This feature is ideal if you want to keep your outdoor seating fresh and clean with minimal effort.
