12-Piece vs 14-Piece Patio Set Specs
Set composition
The LazySunsets 12-Piece Wicker Patio Set includes a central fire pit table alongside its modular seating components. This configuration integrates a propane-powered heating element directly into the table surface. In contrast, the LazySunsets 14-Piece Wicker Patio Set offers more total pieces but explicitly excludes a fire pit table. It provides a standard coffee table instead. You must decide whether the integrated warmth of the twelve-piece model justifies fewer total seats, or if the fourteen-piece set’s higher seating capacity without heating better suits your entertaining style.
Frame material
Both sets utilize steel frames designed for outdoor durability. The twelve-piece model specifies a rust-proof steel construction paired with handwoven PE wicker. The fourteen-piece set details its frame as powder-coated galvanized steel. Galvanized steel offers inherent corrosion resistance, while the powder coating adds an extra protective layer. Both approaches aim to prevent rust and withstand weather elements. The specific metallurgical differences are not detailed, but both frames are engineered for long-term outdoor stability and structural integrity under typical patio conditions.
Cushion thickness
Comfort levels differ significantly in the cushion specifications provided. The twelve-piece set lists cushion thickness at four inches, offering substantial support. The fourteen-piece set describes its cushions as thick high-resilience sponge padding but does not provide a specific measurement in inches. Both sets feature removable, machine-washable covers for easy maintenance. If precise depth of cushioning is a priority for your seating comfort, the twelve-piece model provides the explicit four-inch dimension, whereas the fourteen-piece set relies on general descriptors.
Table type
The central table defines the functional core of each set. The twelve-piece model features a 50,000 BTU propane fire pit table with explosion-proof glass stones. This adds year-round warmth and visual appeal to your patio gatherings. The fourteen-piece set includes a standard coffee table without heating capabilities. It serves primarily for placing items or casual dining. You should choose the twelve-piece set if you value ambient heat and fire features, or select the fourteen-piece set if you prefer a conventional surface for drinks and snacks.
Seating capacity
The fourteen-piece set provides more total components than the twelve-piece option. While the seating modules (armless and corner chairs) are similar in count, the fourteen-piece set includes additional pieces that are not part of the fire pit configuration. This results in a higher overall piece count, potentially accommodating more guests or allowing for more flexible layout options. If maximizing the number of available seats or accessories is your primary goal, the fourteen-piece set offers greater volume and variety in its configuration.
Choose Your LazySunsets Set
You want built-in warmth for evening gatherings
This 12-piece set includes a 44-inch fire pit table with 50,000 BTU output. It uses explosion-proof glass stones for safe, consistent propane heat. You get four armless chairs and two corner chairs to create a cozy conversation circle. The steel frame supports the heating element while the wicker resists weather damage. This configuration keeps you warm during cool summer nights or frosty winter evenings without needing separate heaters.
You need extra seating for larger groups
This 14-piece configuration offers more seating capacity without the fire pit table. It includes four armless chairs and two corner chairs plus additional pieces for a total of fourteen items. The powder-coated galvanized steel frame provides corrosion resistance. You can arrange the modular components into L-shapes or U-shapes to fit your patio layout. This option maximizes seating for social gatherings while maintaining durable wicker construction.
You prefer a simpler, standard conversation layout
You get a straightforward sectional setup with a standard coffee table instead of a heating unit. The high-resilience sponge cushions offer thick comfort for extended sitting. Removable, washable covers make maintenance easy. The PVC rattan withstands sun and moisture. This set allows flexible rearrangement for sunbathing or dining. It is ideal if you do not require integrated heat and want more seating pieces for your backyard or deck space.
