Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this set if you need a durable, all-weather conversation area for a small group. The aluminum frame resists rust, making it suitable for humid climates or uncovered decks. The seven-seat capacity works well for families or frequent entertaining. The thick olefin cushions offer comfort without requiring frequent replacement. If you want a modern look that fits on a porch or patio without taking up excessive space, this heavy-duty 376-pound set provides stable seating.
Who should skip it
Skip this option if you prefer lightweight furniture that is easy to move. At 376 pounds, the set is heavy and not designed for frequent rearrangement. If you do not want a fire pit table in your center, this configuration will not work for you. The fixed 29.7-inch back height may be too tall for some users seeking low-profile seating. Additionally, if you require a specific color not listed in the Dark Grey, Black, or White options, you will need to look elsewhere.
Verdict: This is a sturdy, high-capacity set built for long-term outdoor use with minimal maintenance. It suits buyers who prioritize durability and seating space over portability.
Key specs for this set
Frame Material: Aluminum
Aluminum is lightweight yet strong, making it easy to rearrange your patio layout without straining your back. Unlike steel, it resists rust naturally, which is vital for outdoor gear exposed to rain and humidity. You can leave this set outside year-round with minimal maintenance, ensuring it stays sturdy through changing seasons.
Seating Capacity: 7
This set accommodates seven people comfortably, making it ideal for family gatherings or hosting friends on the deck. The extra seating allows you to include children or guests without crowding. It offers more social space than standard four-piece sets, ensuring everyone has a dedicated spot for conversation and relaxation together.
Cushion Thickness: 5 in
Five-inch cushions provide substantial support for your back and hips during long evenings outdoors. This depth prevents the feeling of sitting on hard surfaces, reducing fatigue after hours of lounging. You get a plush, sofa-like experience that enhances comfort significantly compared to thinner, standard outdoor cushions found in basic furniture sets.
Table Type: Fire pit table
The central fire pit table serves as a focal point for warmth and ambiance. It allows you to extend your outdoor usage into cooler evenings by providing a reliable heat source. This feature transforms a standard conversation set into a cozy gathering spot, perfect for stargazing or socializing after sunset.
Cushion Fabric: Olefin
Olefin fabric is highly resistant to fading, mildew, and moisture, which is essential for furniture exposed to sun and rain. It dries quickly and maintains its color integrity over time. You can rely on these cushions to look fresh and clean with minimal care, ensuring long-term aesthetic appeal for your patio space.
Aluminum Frame And Cushion Build
According to the listing, this LayinSun set uses a solid aluminum frame for its structure. Aluminum offers high strength while remaining lightweight enough to move if needed. The frame features a powder-coated finish to protect against rust and keep the color durable over time. Non-slip foot pads are attached to the base to stabilize the furniture on various surfaces. These pads also reduce noise when you shift the pieces and help protect your deck or porch floor from scratches.
The layout includes five pieces designed for seven people. The seating area provides twenty-six inches of depth and a twenty-nine point seven-inch back height for solid support. Five-inch thick olefin cushions fill the seats. Olefin fabric resists fading and breathes well, while the fluffy sponge interior offers lasting comfort. Two adjustable straps on each cushion keep them in place during use.
The set weighs three hundred seventy-six pounds. This substantial weight contributes to its stability but means you will need assistance to rearrange it. The central table is a fire pit unit, adding warmth to your outdoor space. You can choose from dark grey, black, or white finishes to match your existing decor. The modern design fits well in backyards, decks, or porches, providing a spacious area for relaxation.
Setup And Everyday Use Guide
Setting up this LayinSun five-piece set involves assembling the frame and attaching the cushions. The aluminum frame requires powder coating application for rust protection, which you should ensure is intact before placing the furniture outdoors. The non-slip plastic foot pads are critical during initial placement. They isolate direct contact between the metal legs and your deck or porch floor. This design choice reduces noise when you move the pieces and protects surface finishes from scratches. You must position the set on a level surface to engage these pads effectively. Daily use centers on the seven-person seating capacity. The 29.7-inch back height provides reliable support for extended periods. The 26-inch deep seating allows you to stretch out comfortably. Olefin cushions, measuring five inches thick, offer breathability and fade resistance. Two adjustable straps keep these cushions in place during wind or frequent use. The fluffy sponge interior maintains shape under regular weight. The central fire pit table serves as a functional anchor for conversation. It fits naturally within the L-7 Seat configuration, allowing you to gather around warmth without obstructing movement. The aluminum construction ensures the set remains stable despite its 376-pound weight. You can rearrange the layout on your backyard or deck as needed. The dark grey finish matches well with modern outdoor spaces. Regular cleaning of the olefin fabric will preserve its appearance. The powder-coated frame requires minimal maintenance beyond wiping away dust or pollen. This setup supports consistent outdoor living without complex adjustments.
Before You Buy This Set
Before you buy this LayinSun 5-Piece set, consider how it fits your outdoor space. The L-7 Seat model weighs 376 pounds, so you need a sturdy deck or patio surface that can support this load. The central fire pit table requires propane or natural gas connections, depending on the specific burner type included in your variation. You must verify your gas line compatibility before assembly. The olefin cushions are 5 inches thick and resist fading, but you should bring a cover during harsh winters to extend their life. This set is designed for conversation areas on backyards, decks, or porches. It works well alongside other modern aluminum furniture, but ensure your existing pieces match the dark grey powder-coated finish. Check the non-slip foot pads to protect your flooring. The high back design offers solid support, making it ideal for long relaxation sessions. You need adequate clearance around the fire pit for safe movement and seating. This option suits those prioritizing durability and capacity over compact designs.

Frequently asked questions
Does the LayinSun 5-piece set include cushions?
Yes, the product listing confirms that cushions are included with this set. The features section explicitly lists cushions as a key component alongside the fire pit table. This means you receive padded seating for comfort right out of the box, eliminating the need to purchase separate seat pads for your outdoor dining or lounging area.
Is the frame made of steel or aluminum?
The frame is constructed from aluminum. The specifications clearly state the frame material is aluminum, which is distinct from heavier steel options. This material choice helps keep the overall weight manageable while providing durability. You get a structure that resists rust naturally, making it suitable for long-term outdoor use without the heavy maintenance often required by steel frames.
How much does the entire furniture set weigh?
The total weight of the set is 376 pounds. This substantial mass comes from the robust aluminum construction and the inclusion of the central fire pit table. You must ensure your deck or patio floor can support this load. The heavy build provides stability against wind, but it also means you should not plan to move the set frequently.
What is the model number for this LayinSun set?
The model number is KC5003. You can find this identifier in the detailed specifications provided by the seller. Knowing the model number helps you locate specific replacement parts or consult the manufacturer's manual for care instructions. It also ensures you are referencing the exact 7-seat configuration with the dark grey finish when searching for accessories.
Can I use this set on a deck?
Yes, the recommended location for this set includes decks. The listing specifies that it is suitable for backyard, deck, and porch placements. However, you must verify that your deck structure can handle the 376-pound weight. The non-slip foot pads help protect deck surfaces, but the structural integrity of your deck must be sufficient to bear the heavy aluminum frame and fire pit.
Does the fire pit table require a special fuel type?
The product data does not specify the fuel type for the fire pit table. While the listing highlights the fire pit table as a feature, it does not detail whether it uses propane, natural gas, or ethanol. You should check the manufacturer's manual or contact support directly to determine the compatible fuel source before setting up the central table in your patio arrangement.
What color is the LayinSun patio furniture set?
The set is available in Dark Grey. This color is listed in the specifications under the color field. The dark grey finish complements the aluminum frame and provides a modern look for outdoor spaces. This neutral tone helps the furniture blend well with various deck or patio designs while hiding minor dirt or weathering better than lighter colors might.
