Who it fits

Key specs explained for this set

Frame Material: Aluminum

Aluminum frames resist rust and do not require painting or sealing. You can leave this set outside year-round without worrying about corrosion. Unlike steel, it will not flake or peel over time. This material keeps the furniture lightweight yet strong, making it easier to move cushions or rearrange the layout on your patio.

Cushion Thickness: 6 in

Six-inch cushions provide substantial support for your back and hips. Standard patio cushions often measure around three inches, which can feel firm after a few hours. This extra thickness reduces pressure points, allowing you to sit longer without discomfort. The dense sponge core maintains its shape, preventing the sagging that plagues cheaper foam options.

Fire Pit Table: 55,000 BTU

This heat output generates a noticeable warmth zone around the table. It is strong enough to offset cool evening breezes for a small group. You can adjust the flame size to match your comfort needs. This feature transforms the table into a social hub, extending your outdoor season into cooler nights without needing separate heaters.

Seating Capacity: 5

The XL-5 Seat configuration accommodates five adults comfortably. This size fits well on medium to large decks or patios. If you have a smaller space, this set might feel crowded. Compare this capacity with standard four-piece sets to ensure you have enough room for both seating and walkways around the fire pit table.

Cushion Fabric: Olefin

Olefin fabric is highly resistant to fading, staining, and moisture. It dries quickly after rain and does not hold odors like some synthetic materials. This makes it ideal for humid climates or areas with frequent spills. You will spend less time cleaning or treating the fabric, keeping the set looking fresh with minimal maintenance effort.

Design and build details

The LayinSun KC5005 set uses a fully enclosed aluminum frame. According to the listing, this heavy-duty structure provides robust stability. The frame features a weather-resistant powder coating. This finish helps the furniture withstand outdoor conditions without requiring extra sealing or painting. You can leave the pieces outside, and the material should resist rust and flaking over time. The overall weight is 294 pounds. This mass adds to the stability of the set, making it less likely to tip or shift during use. However, it also means the pieces are not easily moved by one person.

The set includes a central fire pit table with a pull-out lid. This lid allows the table to function as a standard coffee table when the fire feature is not in use. The fire table delivers 55,000 BTU of heat. It includes an integrated one-button ignition and temperature control. You can adjust the flame size to suit your comfort level. The seating capacity is listed as five. The XL-5 Seat size accommodates this number of people comfortably. The cushions are six inches thick and made of olefin fabric. This fabric choice offers durability and resistance to fading. The combination of these materials and controls creates a durable, low-maintenance outdoor living space.

Setup and everyday use guide

This 294-pound set requires two people for assembly. The XL-5 Seat frame is heavy, so clear a large, flat workspace before you begin. The listing does not mention tools, so have your own basic hardware ready. The four-piece configuration includes a central fire pit table and seating units. You will need to connect the gas line to the fire table. The table features a pull-out lid that switches between fire pit and coffee table modes. This design saves space and simplifies daily transitions. You ignite the unit using the integrated one-button ignition. Temperature control allows you to adjust the flame size precisely. The 55,000 BTU output provides substantial heat for evening gatherings. Seating capacity is listed for five people. The six-inch-thick cushions use olefin fabric with a waterproof membrane. This dual-layer construction keeps the inner core dry during rain. You can leave the set outside year-round due to the aluminum frame and powder coating. The fabric resists water penetration, so droplets bead up rather than soaking in. Wipe the surface clean after storms. The heavy construction means you should not move the set frequently. Store cushions indoors during extreme weather to prolong their shape. The black light grey color hides dust better than lighter options. This set suits patios that can support the weight and provide safe gas access.

Before You Buy This Set

This LayinSun set weighs 294 pounds, so you need a large, flat workspace for assembly. You will likely need your own basic tools, as the listing does not mention included hardware. The fire pit table requires propane or natural gas hookups, depending on your setup. Check your patio’s load capacity, as this XL-5 Seat frame is substantial. The olefin cushions are waterproof, but you should still cover them during heavy storms to preserve the fabric’s appearance. This set fits well if you prioritize heat and durability over portability. Unlike lighter wicker or wood options, this aluminum frame offers superior stability but lacks mobility. Ensure your outdoor space can accommodate its 35 by 30-inch footprint. You should also verify that your gas line connects safely to the integrated ignition system. This model suits those who want a permanent, robust gathering spot rather than a flexible arrangement.

Check before you buy

• Confirm your patio can support 294 pounds of weight.
• Verify gas line compatibility with the integrated ignition system.
• Ensure you have two helpers for assembly due to heavy parts.
• Check that your outdoor space fits the 35 by 30-inch footprint.
• Plan for protective covers to maintain the olefin fabric appearance.
