Specifications side by side

SUNCROWN Patio Furniture Sets: 2 Picks Ranked by Specs

The SUNCROWN lineup offers distinct choices based on frame material and table shape. The SUNCROWN 5-Piece Steel Patio Bistro Set features a square steel table and stackable chairs. This compact design suits small patios and tight outdoor dining areas. The set weighs 96 pounds and includes a 37-inch square table. It prioritizes durable metal construction and space-saving utility over plush seating comfort.

For larger gatherings, the SUNCROWN 7-Piece 53-Inch Round Swivel Dining Set provides round seating for six. This option uses textilene mesh chairs on a metal frame. The swivel mechanism allows you to turn easily during meals. It fits backyards, decks, and poolside locations. The dark gray finish complements various outdoor decors. Choose this set if you need durable mesh seating for regular outdoor use.

Where SUNCROWN fits

SUNCROWN offers two distinct configurations for outdoor dining. The smaller 5-piece bistro set features a square steel table and stackable chairs, ideal for compact spaces. The larger 7-piece set includes a round table with swivel textilene chairs, accommodating six people comfortably. You will find options for backyards, decks, and poolside areas. However, the range is limited to dining sets only. There are no lounge chairs, sofas, or umbrellas available in this lineup. If you need seating for relaxation rather than meals, this brand may not meet your needs.

How to choose the right SUNCROWN set

1. Match set type to space

You should select a bistro set for compact areas like small patios or balconies. The SUNCROWN 5-Piece Steel Patio Bistro Set is designed for these tight footprints. It includes a 37-inch square table that saves floor space. If you need seating for more guests, consider a larger dining configuration. The 7-Piece Round Swivel Dining Set accommodates six people. Check the piece count carefully. A 5-piece set typically includes a table and four chairs. A 7-piece set usually adds two extra chairs. Ensure the total dimensions fit your available area before purchasing.

2. Check frame material durability

Frame material determines long-term weather resistance. The top pick uses a metal frame, which offers sturdy support for outdoor dining. Metal frames generally provide higher weight capacity and stability compared to lighter materials. The second option combines metal with textilene. This hybrid approach uses metal for the structure and mesh for the seating surface. You should verify the frame construction if you live in an area with high winds. Sturdy metal frames resist bending and warping better than weaker alternatives. Always check the specified frame material to ensure it matches your climate needs.

3. Evaluate seating comfort features

Seating features impact daily comfort during meals. The bistro set includes stackable chairs, which allow you to store them easily when not in use. This feature is ideal for buyers who need flexible space management. The swivel dining set offers rotating seats, which facilitate easier conversation among guests. Swivel chairs allow you to turn without moving the entire chair. Decide if you prioritize storage convenience or social interaction. Stackable designs save vertical space. Swivel designs enhance the dining experience. Compare these features against your primary use case for the patio area.

4. Select appropriate table shape

Table shape affects seating arrangement and space utilization. Square tables, like those in the bistro set, fit well against walls or in corners. They maximize efficiency in narrow spaces. Round tables, such as the 53-inch model in the 7-piece set, promote better conversation. They eliminate sharp corners, making them safer for high-traffic areas. Consider the shape of your patio. A square table may align better with rectangular decks. A round table creates a more open feel in the center of a lawn. Choose the shape that best complements your existing outdoor layout.

5. Verify weight and portability

Weight influences how easily you can move the set. The bistro set weighs 96 pounds, providing stability against wind. This weight makes it less likely to tip over but harder to relocate frequently. The swivel dining set lists a weight of 51 pounds, which seems light for a 7-piece set. You should double-check this specification, as it may refer to a component or be an error. Heavier sets offer better permanence. Lighter sets allow for seasonal rearrangement. Assess your need for mobility versus stability. Ensure the total weight aligns with your ability to move the furniture for cleaning or storage.
