How to choose the right patio set
-
Check the set size first
Decide between five or seven pieces based on your space. The five-piece set includes a table and four swivel chairs, fitting smaller decks or balconies. The seven-piece set adds two extra chairs for larger gatherings. Measure your patio area before buying. Ensure you have enough room for the chairs to swivel without hitting walls or railings. The seven-piece option measures 59 inches across, so verify your available square footage matches the footprint.
-
Review the frame material
Both options use Textilene for the frame and seating. This material is known for breathability and durability in outdoor conditions. It resists moisture and dries quickly after rain. Check the weight specifications to gauge stability. The listed sets weigh 52.9 pounds. Heavier frames generally offer better wind resistance. Verify that the Textilene weave is tight to prevent sagging over time. This material choice supports long-term use in various weather conditions.
-
Consider the umbrella hole
If you need shade, check for a dedicated umbrella hole. The five-piece set includes this feature, allowing you to insert a standard patio umbrella. This is essential for sunny patios or poolside areas. The seven-piece set does not list this feature. Decide if shade is a priority. If you prefer open-air dining, the seven-piece set offers more seating. If shade is key, the five-piece model provides the necessary hardware for your umbrella.
-
Match the color to decor
Choose a color that complements your outdoor space. The seven-piece set comes in Charcoal, offering a neutral, modern look. The five-piece set is available in Grey. Consider how these tones blend with your existing patio furniture or house exterior. Charcoal may hide dirt better than lighter shades. Grey offers a softer contrast. Select the finish that requires the least maintenance for your specific environment. The color choice affects the visual weight of the set.
-
Verify recommended locations
Check the recommended placement for each set. Both are suitable for backyards, decks, and poolside areas. The seven-piece set also lists gardens as a recommended location. Ensure your chosen spot is level and stable. Swivel chairs require clear space around them for rotation. Avoid placing the set on uneven ground. Verify that your deck or patio can support the weight. These sets are designed for standard outdoor surfaces. Confirm your location matches the manufacturer's guidelines for safe use.
