How to Choose the Right One
-
Match Set Type to Use
Decide if you need to eat or just relax. The Outvita 49" Metal Patio Dining Set is built for meals. It includes a table for placing food and drinks. The 4-Piece Black Rattan Set is a conversation group. It focuses on seating and a coffee table. Choose dining for eating outdoors. Choose conversation for chatting and lounging. Your daily activity determines the correct set type for your space.
-
Check Frame Material Durability
Frame material dictates how long the set lasts. Metal frames offer strong support and weather resistance. The metal dining set uses steel for this reason. Rattan frames provide a softer, modern aesthetic. The black rattan set feels different to the touch. Metal is often heavier and more rigid. Rattan can be lighter and more flexible. Pick metal for heavy use. Pick rattan for visual style and comfort.
-
Consider Umbrella Hole Need
If you want shade, check for an umbrella hole. The Outvita 49" Metal Patio Dining Set includes this feature. It allows you to insert a standard patio umbrella. This adds protection from sun and rain. The rattan conversation set does not list this feature. You might need separate shade solutions for it. If sun protection is a priority, the metal dining set is the practical choice for covered dining.
-
Measure Space for Size
Dimensions determine if the set fits your area. The metal dining set is 48.4 inches long. It is 27.6 inches wide and 29.5 inches high. This fits compact balconies well. The rattan set has a love seat and coffee table. Its components are sized for social seating. Measure your patio before buying. Ensure you have clearance for chairs and walking. The metal set is optimized for tight spaces.
-
Weigh Portability Needs
Weight affects how easy it is to move. The metal dining set weighs 57 pounds. The rattan set weighs 52 pounds. Both are manageable for one person to shift. However, the metal set is denser due to steel. The rattan set might feel slightly lighter. If you move furniture often, consider the total weight. Lighter sets are easier to store during bad weather. Check the weight spec for your handling ability.
