How to choose the right one
-
Check Set Type and Size
Start by identifying the set type that matches your space. The 13-piece wicker set offers a large sectional layout ideal for big patios. If you need a dining arrangement, the 7-piece set features a round table. For smaller areas like balconies, the 5-piece aluminum set provides a compact footprint. Compare the piece count to ensure you have enough seating without overcrowding your outdoor area. Larger sets require more square footage for comfortable movement.
-
Select Frame Material
Choose between wicker and aluminum based on your durability needs. Wicker sets, like the 11-piece brown option, offer a traditional woven look but weigh less. Aluminum frames, found in the 8-seat and 5-piece sets, provide rust-proof construction for heavy-duty use. The 8-seat aluminum set weighs 850 pounds, indicating significant stability. If you live in a humid climate, aluminum resists corrosion better than woven materials. Consider the weight as a proxy for structural integrity.
-
Evaluate Integrated Features
Look for sets that include a fire pit table for added warmth. Most options here feature this integrated heating element. The 13-piece set and 11-piece set both include fire pit tables for cozy evenings. The 7-piece dining set also offers this feature for poolside gatherings. Swivel chairs are another key feature in several models, allowing easy conversation. Check if the swivel mechanism is included in the base price. These features transform a standard seating area into a functional entertainment hub.
-
Match Recommended Location
Verify that the recommended location fits your actual outdoor space. The 5-piece aluminum set is specifically recommended for porches and balconies due to its smaller size. The 8-seat aluminum set is best for backyards where space is ample. The 7-piece dining set suggests poolside or deck placement. Ensure your surface can support the weight, especially for heavier aluminum sets. Placing a heavy set on a weak balcony can be unsafe. Always align the manufacturer's suggested location with your physical constraints.
-
Consider Table Shape
The table shape affects how you arrange your seating. Round tables, like those in the 7-piece and 5-piece sets, promote conversation and fit well in corners. Square or rectangular layouts, seen in the 13-piece and 11-piece sets, maximize seating capacity along straight lines. A round table is easier to navigate around in tight spaces. A sectional layout provides more continuous seating for large groups. Choose the shape that best supports your primary activity, whether it is dining or lounging.
