Key specs explained for this set
Piece Count: 8-piece
This set includes eight individual items, providing seating for six people. You get two armrest sofas, four armless sofas, a coffee table, and the fire pit table. This count helps you gauge the footprint required for your patio. If you have a smaller balcony, you might look for a six-piece option. If you host larger gatherings, consider the ten-piece or fifteen-piece variations available from this brand to ensure enough seating for your guests.
Table Type: Fire pit table, coffee table
The set features two distinct table types. The fire pit table serves as the centerpiece with a gas burner, while the coffee table offers a flat surface for drinks. This dual setup allows you to separate heat from food service. The fire pit table can also function as a dining table when the flame is off. This versatility means you do not need to buy separate side tables, saving space on your patio.
Frame Material: Steel
The structural frame is made from rust-resistant steel. This material provides a strong foundation for the heavy cushions and wicker weave. Steel frames generally offer higher weight capacity than wood or aluminum alone. You should still use protective covers during winter to maintain the finish. When comparing sets, check if the steel is powder-coated, as this adds an extra layer of protection against moisture and scratches in outdoor environments.
Heat Output: 55,000 BTU
The gas fire pit table produces 55,000 BTUs of heat. This output is sufficient to warm a standard conversation area on cool evenings. It creates a cozy atmosphere without requiring wood or charcoal. You will need to purchase a standard propane tank separately, as it is not included. This spec indicates a moderate heat level, suitable for casual lounging rather than intense heating for large open decks.
Set Type: Conversation, Sectional
This is a sectional conversation set, designed for face-to-face interaction. The modular pieces can be rearranged into different shapes, such as an L-shape or U-shape. This flexibility allows you to adapt the layout to your specific patio dimensions. Unlike fixed dining sets, this type encourages lingering and socializing. You can easily reconfigure the seating if you want to create more open space for walking or dancing.
Design and build details
According to the listing, this ASJMR set uses a rust-resistant steel frame wrapped in hand-woven PE rattan. The rattan is described as super-tight, which helps resist weather damage while keeping the look of traditional wicker. You get high-density rebound cushions and softback pillows for seating. These components suggest a focus on durability and comfort for long outdoor sessions. The frame material provides structural stability, while the woven exterior adds visual texture.
The layout is a six-seater sectional. It includes two armrest sofas and four armless sofas, allowing you to arrange the pieces in various configurations. You can create a U-shape for conversation or separate sections for different activities. The set also features two coffee tables. One is a standard table with a tempered glass top, and the other is the gas fire pit table. The fire pit table serves a dual purpose. It provides heat output for cold nights and can function as a daily dining surface when the flame is covered.
The fire pit table has a heat output of 55,000 BTU. It includes a wind guard and a metal lid for safety and storage. The propane tank is not included. Assembly requires some hardware and tools, but the listing notes that parts can be used separately. This flexibility lets you change the shape for seating or lying down. The set is available in brown, blue, or grey. These color options let you match your existing patio decor. The size varies by configuration, with heights ranging from 14.5 inches to 29.5 inches. This range helps you plan the footprint for your porch, backyard, or balcony.
Assembly and Daily Use Guide
The listing states that the ASJMR set includes necessary hardware and tools for assembly. You follow the provided instructions to put together the patio sofa components. The modular design allows each part to be used separately. You can rearrange the sectional pieces into different shapes for seating or lying down. This flexibility helps you adapt the layout to your specific patio or balcony space.
The fire pit table operates on propane, though the tank is not included. It delivers a heat output of 55,000 BTU. When you do not need the flame, you can remove the wind guard and place a metal lid on top. This converts the fire pit into a standard dining or coffee table. The coffee table features a tempered glass top, which is noted to exclude any items placed on it.
Daily use involves managing the gas connection for the fire pit and covering the table when not in use. The steel frame and PE rattan construction require standard outdoor care. The high-density cushions and softback pillows are designed for comfortable seating during gatherings. The set supports six people, making it suitable for conversation groups. You can move the pieces around easily thanks to the modular construction. This setup allows for quick changes in configuration, adapting to different social needs or weather conditions.
Before You Buy This Set
Before you buy this eight-piece set, check your propane tank compatibility. The fire pit table requires a standard tank, which is not included. You must ensure your existing tank fits the regulator connection. Also, verify the space needed for the sectional layout. The listing notes modular pieces, but you still need room for the fire pit and two coffee tables. Upkeep involves covering the rattan and cushions when not in use to protect them from weather. This set fits buyers who want a conversation area with heat. It suits those who enjoy outdoor gatherings on cool nights. If you prefer a simpler setup without a fire feature, consider skipping this option. The steel frame and PE rattan offer durability, but you must maintain the cushions to keep them looking fresh. This choice works well for patios, porches, or balconies where you can accommodate the full footprint.
