Aoxun and ALAULM Patio Sets Compared
Set configuration
Both brands provide a 7-piece arrangement designed for conversation and lounging. Aoxun structures its set as a sectional with two corner sofas and four armless units, allowing you to rearrange the layout for different gatherings. ALAULM includes two armrest sofas and three armless sofas, but its defining feature is the inclusion of a dedicated fire pit table alongside a standard coffee table. This gives ALAULM a distinct functional advantage for evening use, while Aoxun offers more flexible modular seating without the fire pit component.
Frame construction
Both sets rely on steel frames for structural integrity, but they treat the material differently. Aoxun uses a rust-resistant steel frame paired with UV-resistant resin wicker to withstand fading and corrosion. ALAULM employs a powder-coated steel frame that supports hand-woven rattan, ensuring the structure remains sturdy in various weather conditions. ALAULM also specifies aluminum for the fire pit table top to prevent rust, whereas Aoxun uses tempered glass for its table. Both approaches prioritize durability, with ALAULM adding specific rust prevention for metal table surfaces.
Cushion comfort
Comfort levels differ slightly between the two options based on cushion design. Aoxun features 4-inch high-resiliency foam cushions with ergonomic armrests that support elbows and wrists, ideal for reading or relaxing. The cushions are splash-proof and include flared straps to prevent slipping. ALAULM emphasizes thicker, larger, and wider seat cushions with high backrests for superior leaning support. While Aoxun specifies the 4-inch thickness, ALAULM focuses on the generous surface area and height of the backrest, potentially offering more comfort for longer sitting sessions.
Table features
The table setups reveal the primary functional difference. Aoxun includes a single tempered glass top table, providing a clean surface for drinks or snacks. ALAULM provides both a coffee table and a propane fire pit table with 55,000 BTU heat output. The ALAULM fire pit features CSA certification, push-button spark ignition, and a stainless steel burner, creating a bonfire atmosphere. This makes ALAULM significantly more versatile for cold evenings, while Aoxun offers a simpler, low-maintenance table option without heating capabilities.
Maintenance and care
Care requirements vary based on the materials and components included. Aoxun highlights removable cushion covers with smooth zippers for easy machine washing and notes that cushions are splash-proof for quick drying after rain. ALAULM mentions that its rattan does not absorb water and is heat-resistant, but does not explicitly detail cushion washing instructions in the provided data. ALAULM’s fire pit requires propane refills and battery changes for ignition, adding maintenance steps that Aoxun’s non-heating table avoids. Aoxun appears easier to maintain for daily casual use.
Choose Aoxun or ALAULM for your patio
You want a fire pit for evening gatherings
The ALAULM set includes a 55,000 BTU propane fire pit table with CSA certification. This feature provides warmth and a bonfire atmosphere for at least five people. The stainless steel burner ensures stable burning, while the hand-woven rattan resists heat and water. You get a unique heating element that the Aoxun model lacks.
You prioritize thick cushions and easy cleaning
Aoxun features 4-inch high-resiliency foam cushions that are splash-proof for quick recovery after rain. The removable covers have smooth zippers for machine washing. Its tempered glass top table and anti-slip pads enhance stability. This setup focuses on comfort and low maintenance, offering thicker padding than the standard sponge in the competing model.
You need flexible sectional layout options
The Aoxun configuration includes two corner sofas and four armless units. This design allows you to rearrange the pieces to fit different backyard spaces or group sizes. The ergonomic armrests support your elbows and wrists. You gain versatility in seating arrangements that a fixed coffee table layout cannot provide.
