In this aoxun 7 piece aluminum patio furniture set review, we look at a modular outdoor arrangement designed for durability and comfort. The set includes a three-seater, two-seater, two lounge chairs, and a coffee table. Two specs define its practical appeal: a rust-proof aluminum frame and thick 5-inch Olefin cushions. The aluminum construction ensures lightweight handling while resisting weather damage. The substantial cushion thickness offers superior support compared to standard outdoor seating. This combination targets buyers seeking long-lasting materials without excessive maintenance, making it suitable for covered patios or protected outdoor areas.
What stands out
- 5-inch thick high-density Olefin cushions resist fading and moisture.
- Rust-proof aluminum frame provides sturdy, lightweight support.
- Widened seats measure 26.7 inches deep for extra comfort.
- Embedded wooden armrests prevent heat retention and add style.
Who it fits
Good fit for
This set suits homeowners with covered patios or poolside areas who want durable, low-maintenance furniture. The rust-proof aluminum and quick-dry Olefin cushions handle moisture well, though direct rain exposure may still require care. The modular design allows you to rearrange pieces for gatherings or separate them around fire pits. If you value wide seating depths and sturdy frames over swivel functionality, this configuration fits your outdoor living space well.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need swivel chairs, as this specific model features fixed seating. The set also lacks a fire pit table in its standard configuration, requiring you to purchase a separate variation if that feature is essential. Additionally, the assembly process may take up to two hours, so if you prefer pre-assembled furniture, this might not be the right choice for your immediate needs.
Verdict: This set offers solid aluminum construction and thick cushions for durable outdoor seating. It is best for covered spaces where you can arrange modular pieces for social gatherings.
Key specs explained for this set
Frame Material: Aluminum
Aluminum is a lightweight metal that does not rust. This means you can leave the set outside in rain or snow without worrying about corrosion or heavy maintenance. Unlike iron or steel, it will not require painting or sealing. You benefit from easy rearranging because the pieces are light enough to move. When shopping, compare this to heavier steel frames that need more upkeep.
Cushion Thickness: 5 in
Five-inch cushions are significantly thicker than standard outdoor options, which often measure three inches. This extra depth provides superior comfort for lounging or dining for extended periods. It reduces the feeling of sitting on a hard surface. You benefit from better support for your back and hips. When comparing sets, check this measurement closely, as thinner cushions can feel firm and less inviting after a few hours of use.
Cushion Fabric: Olefin
Olefin is a synthetic fabric known for being highly resistant to fading, moisture, and stains. It dries quickly after rain and does not absorb water like cotton. This means the cushions maintain their color and shape through sun exposure and spills. You benefit from low-maintenance care, as you rarely need to remove covers for washing. When shopping, prioritize Olefin over natural fibers for better longevity in outdoor environments.
Piece Count: 7-piece
A seven-piece configuration typically includes a three-seater, a two-seater, two individual chairs, and a coffee table. This count offers flexible seating for small to medium gatherings. You can arrange the pieces to fit various patio layouts or separate them for different activities. It provides enough space for a family or small group without overwhelming a moderate-sized deck. When comparing, ensure the count matches your available space and hosting needs.
Design and build details
According to the listing, the Aoxun set uses an aluminum frame. This material is lightweight yet sturdy, which helps you move pieces if needed. The frame resists rust, so you can leave it outside in rain or snow without worrying about corrosion. The set weighs 80 pounds. This moderate weight keeps the furniture stable in wind while remaining manageable for rearranging.
The layout includes a three-seater sofa, a two-seater loveseat, two lounge chairs, and a coffee table. This seven-piece configuration offers flexible seating for small gatherings. The seats are widened to 26.7 inches in depth. This extra depth provides more room for stretching out. The backrests are slanted for ergonomic support during long periods of sitting.
Cushions are 5 inches thick and made from Olefin fabric. This material is fade-resistant and handles moisture well. You can leave the cushions out, though removing them in heavy rain extends their life. The armrests are 3.5 inches wide and include embedded wooden elements. This wood-aluminum combo stays cooler in direct sunlight than pure metal. The grey finish is available in light and dark variations. This neutral color blends with most outdoor decors without showing dirt quickly.
Setup and everyday use guide
Assembly requires about one to two hours. The set ships in multiple boxes with numbered parts, which simplifies identification during the build process. You can use a power screwdriver to speed up the task, though manual tools work fine. The frame is aluminum, weighing eighty pounds total for the entire set. This light weight allows you to rearrange the modular pieces easily. You can split the three-seater, two-seater, and lounge chairs to fit different patio layouts or place them around a fire pit.
Daily use focuses on comfort and maintenance. The seats feature a twenty-six point seven inch depth and slanted backrests for ergonomic support. The cushions are five inches thick and made from Olefin fabric. This material is fade-resistant and handles moisture well. If spills occur, the quick-dry nature of the fabric means you can wipe them down without long waiting times. The embedded wooden armrests stay cool in direct sunlight, preventing heat retention that you might feel with all-metal surfaces. The widened armrests, measuring three point five inches, serve as drink ledges. The U-shaped support frames under larger seats provide extra stability. You can leave the set outside in rain or snow. The rust-proof aluminum construction ensures it withstands weather without needing frequent upkeep. Customer support is available for any questions that arise during setup or use.
Before You Buy This Set
This seven-piece set weighs eighty pounds, so you need a flat, level surface that can support the load. The aluminum frame is rust-proof, but you should still consider covers for heavy rain or snow to keep the Olefin cushions fresh. The cushions are five inches thick, which offers comfort but requires more storage space if you plan to remove them. Check your patio dimensions carefully. The set includes a three-seater, two-seater, and two lounge chairs, which take up significant square footage. Ensure you have enough room for the coffee table and walking space around it. You might also want matching umbrellas or side tables for extra convenience. Since the fabric is quick-drying, you can leave it out in light rain, but regular cleaning will extend its life. Compare this size to other options in the list to ensure it fits your outdoor area without feeling cramped. The grey color option is versatile, but verify the shade matches your existing decor.
Check before you buy
- Verify your patio has enough space for all seven pieces.
- Check if you need protective covers for winter storage.
- Ensure the surface is level to support the eighty-pound weight.
- Confirm the grey color matches your current outdoor decor.
- Plan for cushion storage if you remove them frequently.
